Issues With Receiving Activation Emails |
|
|
|
If you use an on-line e-mail service such as Hotmail, Yahoo,
AOL or similar, please check your junk mail folder for the activation e-mail. If you do not receive the activation e-mail within a reasonable time,
check your spam filter settings. Under normal conditions and a reasonable
internet service you should receive the activation e-mail within 15 minutes of
registration. If however, you do not receive the activation e-mail, check your
spam filter settings and access our web site to re-send this email. You can re-send
the activation e-mail by going to the support section of the web site and
selecting reactivate account from the menu. Please help us to help you by:
Check the list below for
suggestions on how to
remedy issues with spam, bulk, or junk mail filtering. Internet Service Providers Some service providers filter messages based on content, subject line, or the sender's address and may put some legitimate e-mails into the junk mail or bulk mail folder. Please make sure "@clockabout.com.au" is added to your "approved senders" list or "white list" and/or in your "address book". Occasionally service providers will institute mail controls that can severely block incoming e-mail without your knowledge. The only solution to this problem is to contact your service provider for information on what triggers such blockages and make sure they understand you want to receive our e-mail. Spam Blockers/Filters and Email Software If you have recently installed new e-mail software or a new program to help defeat spam or junk mail, make sure you check the settings. The "defaults" are often much more restrictive than you may wish. You may like to try and reduce the filtering level to something more appropriate for your use. We have provided a general guide to some of the more common e-mail services below. If you have another type of e-mail account, you may find that it has similar settings for spam and junk mail filtering so check with your service provider or consult your help manual for further information.
